I have learned that I go through 8mm doll eyelashes really quickly compared to 10mm. I think this is due to how I tend to get commissioned to paint minis and tinies more than large dolls, and that I also tend to get commissioned to paint boys. Also, I prefer the natural lashes more even for face-ups that are heavy in makeup.
