Anonymous asked: You shouldn't undersell it, it looks more involved than just painting. There's more to making something than just manufacturing.

Well, there’s also the styling of the dolls (clothes, hair) and photography but that’s the final presentation of the finished piece— but as far as what I directly do the dolls that is 100% of my own skill, the only thing I inflict on the dolls would be painting. The painting is fun because it’s more like theater makeup than it is normal makeup and is beyond just adding features onto the doll, which is something I think a lot of newbie doll painters overlook. I’m not actively trying to undersell myself, haha! If I was a person who knew how to sculpt dolls, make the clothes for them, along with cobble tiny doll shoes I would be a lot more impressed with myself though. :) There are people out there in the doll hobby who can do all that too! Oh yeah, and make wigs!

I'm Chien. Nice to meet you. ♥ I'm a college senior trying to become a Doctor Doctor (really). I mostly draw stupid things for the internet and a lot of Bart. I would highly suggest following my Cleaned Up Blog if you don't want to wade through all of my personal blog stuff just to enjoy the meat of my blogging.
