Finished it— overall, I thought the ending was good, but I lost interest in the story a few times throughout the journey. The twists were okay, but what redeemed the ending to me was the unsatisfactory feeling the good guys get from catching the bad guys.

Character interactions were really strong, as expected for a character-driven story. Game mechanics are not bad. Didn’t care for Naegi, but really found myself loving Asahina and Oogami. :,3 Ah, friendship. Ishimaru, Fujisaki, and Owada are an adorable trio too. I would have liked for Owada to be Fujisaki’s aniki! I also feel like I would’ve really liked to see Kirigiri and Maizono together more. The potential between Maizono and Kuwata is so high since he wanted to become a vocalist, and she’s an established talent!

Couple of thoughts:

I NEVER FOUND OUT WHY RIKU’S HAIR GOT CUT I’M SO CONFUSED…

Missed one letter during the credit dive fffffffff it was the “k” that appeared right after it started!

I got really excited to see Sora and Riku in their original KH outfits when diving for New Game +, but then it appears that they still move through the game in the DDD outfits. Am sad.

I liked the ending. I’m really happy to have played a Riku game. I liked the secret ending too. Good stuff.

Also, the ending is really… really… gah. At one point I was like, “Dang, they gonna kiss?” Hmmm. Not complaining. It’s just. Hmm. Hmmmm.

Can’t wait for the next game, which will come out in two years? :,3 I hope Donald and Goofy get to do lots of cool stuff!

The flame-y keyblade at the end looked really cool, haha.

I think this is the first time I’m replaying a game again— I think it’s because I was so close to getting a perfect game. I had gotten all of Riku’s treasures, for instance, and when I hit up the last boss (finally) he was level 55 so the last fights were cake at that point. I’m playing on Proud mode now to collect the trophy, and the game goes by really quick now that I’ve already seen all the cutscenes.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get the Link trophy haha that would be intense!

This time I’m dedicated to making really high rank Dream Eaters!!! Plus, completing more of their skill boards! I had gotten the complete skill boards for more than half of them last time.

Also when Riku grabbed Sora’s hand I was like, “Yep— hand holding between boys. Good stuff.” Then Riku chasing Sora’s nightmares away holy cow.
